デジタル庁の設立とガバメントクラウド政策を背景に、日本の官公庁・自治体・公共機関でのAI活用が急速に進んでいます。FDE（フォワードデプロイドエンジニア）にとって、公共機関は案件規模が大きく（数億〜数十億円）、長期契約（3〜5年）が多い安定市場です。
主要なFDE案件は、(1)行政文書の検索・要約AIシステム（条例・法令・通知文書のRAG化）、(2)市民対応AIエージェント（問い合わせ・手続きガイド自動化）、(3)政策分析・データ可視化プラットフォーム（Palantir Gotham等）、(4)給付金・許認可審査の自動化支援、(5)セキュリティインシデント対応AIの導入、などです。
PalantirのGothamプラットフォームは防衛省・警察庁等の政府機関向けに採用実績があり、Palantir FDEの公共機関向け案件は国内でも最高水準の報酬が提示されます。NTTデータ・富士通・アクセンチュアなどの大手SI経由での公共FDE案件も活発です。

主な違いは(1)調達プロセスが長い（入札〜契約まで6〜18ヶ月）、(2)セキュリティ要件が極めて厳格（政府ISMSクラウド・クリアランス等）、(3)変更管理が厳格（仕様変更には承認プロセス）、(4)案件規模が大きく長期、(5)成功・失敗が社会的に可視化される、です。一方、予算が大きく長期安定のため、FDEとしての報酬は高く安定しています。
詳細は公開されていませんが、防衛省・海上保安庁等でのデータ統合・分析基盤として採用実績があるとされています。民間向けFoundry/AIPと同様にFDEが実装を担いますが、機密情報を扱う性格からセキュリティクリアランス取得者が優遇されます。
